6U Softball Overview:
The 6U program is for girls ages 4-6 who are new to softball. Players will learn the basics of throwing, catching, hitting, and running. Beginners will hit off a tee, and as they progress, they'll learn to hit pitched balls from a coach. Games focus on learning and development, preparing players for the 8U level. Games are not scored, but outs are recognized to encourage good defense.
- Age Group: 4-6 years old (must be 6 or under as of December 31, 2024). Experienced 6-year-olds may play 8U on a case-by-case basis.
- Pitching: Tee-ball and coach pitch
- Games: Friday and/or Saturday
- Practice: One weekday practice and Saturday practice before games. Afterward, practice times are at coach’s discretion.
- Required Equipment: Glove, batting helmet, tee-ball/softball bat, fielding face mask
- Recommended Equipment: Softball cleats (no metal cleats)

8U (Modified Coach Pitch) Softball Overview:
The 8U Modified Coach Pitch program is an introductory level for players ages 7 or 8 as of December 31, 2024.
- Uniforms: SCRA provides jersey, socks, and belt. Players must purchase pants (color selected by coach).
- Required: Softball glove, bat, helmet (with cage), fielding face mask.
- Recommended: Rubber cleats (metal cleats are not allowed).
- Teams are formed after player evaluations.
- Spring: Practices start in mid-February, with the season ending tournament in early June.
- Fall: Practices begin mid-August, with the season ending tournament in early November.
- Games: Monday/Wednesday (6:00 pm) and Saturday
- Each team has 10 regular season games March-May.

10U Softball Overview:
The 10U Softball program is a mid-level league for players ages 9 or 10 as of December 31, 202.
- Uniforms: SCRA provides jersey, belt, and socks.
- Required: Softball glove, bat, helmet (with cage), and fielding face mask (for infield play).
- Recommended: Rubber cleats (no metal cleats).
- Teams formed after player evaluations.
- Spring: Practices start in mid-February; season ends in late May.
- Fall: Practices begin mid-August; season ends in early November.
- Games: Tuesday/Thursday (6:00 pm) and Saturday.
- 10 regular season games March-May.

The 13U Softball program is an advanced league for players ages 11, 12, or 13 as of December 31, 2023.
- Uniforms: SCRA provides jersey, belt, and socks.
- Required: Softball glove, bat, helmet (with cage), and face mask.
- Recommended: Rubber cleats (no metal cleats).
- Teams formed after player evaluations.
- Spring: Practices start in mid-February; season ends in late May.
- Fall: Practices begin mid-August; season ends in early November.
- Games: Tuesday/Thursday (7:30 pm) and Saturday.
- 10 regular season games March-May.
